MbChB (Rhodesia)
LRCP, LRCS, LRCO&G (Edinburgh & Glasgow)
F.R.A.C.S (Orthopaedics)
Growing up in rural Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe), Andrew obtained his primary medical degree in 1980 - MbChB (Rhodesia) and LRCP, LRCS, LRCO&G (Edinburgh and Glascow).
Sport was very much part of the culture growing up and as a speciality, Orthopaedics seemed a natural progression allowing Andrew's interest in sport and fitness to continue.
After Orthopaedic jobs in Cape Town and then Wangaratta, Penrith and Royal North Shore, Andrew was admitted to the Australian Orthopaedic training fellowship program in Sydney in 1988, passing the Orthopaedic fellowship exam FRACS (Orthopaedics) in 1991.
After a Joint Replacement Fellowship, Andrew worked for 10 years in Dubbo, before moving to Wagga Wagga. This has allowed Andrew to focus more exclusively on hip and knee surgery.
Inspired by great teachers and mentors in Australia and overseas, Andrew's primary interest is now Knee and Hip Replacements surgery and the teaching and training of our future surgeons.
